Description
If we compare the Barnes and Noble NOOK HD 7 with other budget tablets it stands out with its vibrant design. The screen is equipped with protective glass to prevent small and abrasions. The bezel on the front side is made of non-slip plastic. The back panel is made of soft touch plastic, which prevents the device from slipping out of hands. In addition, the back panel has a curved shape, making it comfortable to hold in the palm.
Functionality:
The Barnes and Noble NOOK HD runs on the popular Texas Instruments platform with a high-performance TI OMAP 4470 processor, with a maximum clock frequency of 1.3 GHz. The model has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. With a fully charged battery, the tablet can operate for up to 9 hours of video playback.
To provide high-quality visuals, the device is equipped with a 7" IPS display with pixel density of 234 ppi. The image resolution is 1440x900 pixels. The hardware is controlled by the Android 4.0 operating system, supplemented with the Barnes and Noble's proprietary shell.
