"Five o'" - Ries Qba, 202, August Kesseler Winery
Rling Five O'Clock is the perfect choice for a daytime wine. This Riesling comes from vineyards around Assmannshausen in the Rheingau. Riesling Five O'Clock pours a light lemon-yellow color in the glass. It smells of grapefruit, pears, and green apples. Crystal clear, juicy, and mineral on the palate - a typical Rheingau Riesling with lovely fruity notes, lively acidity, and subtle residual sweetness.
The harvest takes place in October. Second selection at the winery before pressing. Each plot is vinified individually, slowly fermented in stainless steel tanks, and stored on lees until the end of March. The wine is collected shortly before bottling.
Perfect as a daytime wine, as well as for enjoying in the fresh air. Goes well with light, spicy dishes and also serves as a great thirst quencher.
Grape variety: 100% Riesling.
Terroir: Slightly sloping vineyards in Rüdesheim, Geisenheim, and Erbach. Slate, Taunus quartzite, loess, and clay.
Analysis values: Acid: 7.3 g/L, residual sugar: 12.6 g/L, alcohol: 11.5% by volume.
