Repelling is achieved by using an anti-static material on the filter in front of the image sensor. High-frequency vibrations are used to remove dust, shaking it off the low-frequency filter. This function is automatically disabled when the shutter is released. The internal Dust Delete Data system determines the position of dust particles on the image sensor. After the shooting is complete, the Digital Photo Professional software automatically removes these traces.

The Canon EOS 400D features a more user-friendly menu. All the related custom functions are located together, allowing for quick navigation without the need to spend hours studying the user manual. The Canon EOS 400D camera kit includes the Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software, which allows for RAW image correction.
