MECHANISM OF ACTION

The Respironics EverFlo enriches the air inhaled by the patient with oxygen by reducing its nitrogen content. The device works based on the "molecular gas separation" technology. Air from the room enters the concentrator, is purified through a filtration system, then compressed and delivered to one of the two columns filled with adsorbent - the so-called "molecular sieve". The molecular sieve absorbs nitrogen and impurities but allows oxygen to pass through freely.
