The design resembles a multiplier reel but hangs down like a fixed spool reel, so no special fishing rods are required. Many anglers are familiar with the advantages of a multiplier reel for boat or catfish fishing. But the upside-down installation and complicated operation are deterrent factors against using multiplier reels.

The Corboss 640LLC is different: it is designed like a multiplier reel but can be fished with any fishing rod when suspended like a fixed spool reel. The clutch provides convenient and optimal control over action and bait depth. The power transmission is made of stainless steel and brass and is based on our reels for open sea that have to face sea giants.
